Dave Robertson & The Kiss List sing thoughtful bittersweet indie-folk-pop-rock-blues songs about kissing, climate change, cult 70s novels and more kissing. Dave’s lyrics manage to be both cheeky and deadly serious at the same time, while his percussive acoustic guitar is accompanied by Rachel Armstrong’s warm violin, Rob Findlay’s jangly electric guitar, Tore Pedersen’s slinky bass, and Merle Fyshwick’s playful drums. Oh, and there are vocal harmonies, lots of harmonies!
The band’s recent album Oil, Love & Oxygen was an epic DIY project recorded across ten houses around Freo. Ian Shepherd, founder of Dynamic Range Day, mastered the album in the UK. Prior to forming The Kiss List, Dave released the Little Scientist EP that proved popular on numerous radio stations Australia-wide, including Triple J.
