Dave Clarke - presented by Fairbridge Festival
Dave Clarke is a local multi-instrumentalist; a survivor of such bands as The Mucky Duck Bush Band, Snakefoot, The Bayou Brothers, Al Gore Rhythm Trio, Clarke’s Gray Vest and, lately, The Nullarbor Mountain Boys. As a sought after session musician, Dave can be heard on many locally produced CDs, playing Celtic jigs and reels, Cajun fiddle, blues guitar, mandolin and harmonica.
Since being thrown off the school bus, for playing the harmonica, Dave has rebounded from this early criticism to become a regular performer at Fairbridge Festival, Blues at Bridgetown and east coast festivals. Audiences can expect a family-friendly display of virtuosity, sprinkled with wry observations on life, that have been cunningly disguised as songs. Dave has outgrown his early musical efforts with the Salvation Army, and will be happy to provide written proof that, despite signing the abstinence pledge, he can still play a devil of a tune.
